Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) – AIDA CCI

1. Introduction and Scope of Application
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) (formerly known as Terms of Use) regulates the access and use, establishing the rules, guidelines, and best practices for using the entire digital ecosystem of AIDA CCI. By accessing or using our websites and platforms, the user agrees to fully comply with the terms and conditions set forth herein.
This AUP applies to all users interacting with AIDA CCI’s systems, namely:
- Companies (Members and Non-Members): Users of the reserved area, digitised services (e-commerce/WooCommerce), and the corporate recruitment dashboard.
- Professionals: Users submitting applications for job vacancies.
- Trainees: Users of the course application and distance learning platforms.
- Trainers: Individuals responsible for managing training content.
- AIDA CCI Staff: Internal users across various departments.
2. Definitions and Covered Domains
2.1 Definitions
- “Website/Platforms” – Refers to the entire official digital ecosystem of AIDA CCI.
- “Content” – Includes all information, news, events, publications, educational materials, and available documents.
- “User” – Any person or entity accessing or using the platforms.
- “Microsoft Pub Hub” and “Google Publisher Center” – Third-party platforms used for the management and publication of AIDA CCI’s digital content.
2.2 Covered Platforms
The rules stipulated herein apply to the following domains:
- Institutional Portal and Services: www.aida.pt
- Recruitment Platform: www.recrutamento.aida.pt
- Training Application Platform: www.formacao.aida.pt
- E-learning Platform (Moodle): www.elearning.aida.pt
3. Access Levels and User Profiles
Access is granted based on the “principle of least privilege,” ensuring that each user only accesses the resources strictly necessary for their activity:
- IT Administrators: Maximum access level to all platforms and infrastructure, managed by technical leads.
- AIDA CCI Departments: Restricted access to tools and modules corresponding to each department’s specific activity.
- Companies:
- On aida.pt: Access to the Exclusive Corporate Area for managing services and billing data.
- On recrutamento.aida.pt: Access to the job creation dashboard and exclusive viewing of candidates who applied to their specific vacancies.
- Professionals (Candidates): Limited access to their personal profile, application history, advert search, and job detail pages.
- Trainees: Access to their personal profile, training list, course details, and teaching content/class links on the Moodle platform.
- Trainers: Permissions to upload courses, modules, and schedule synchronous sessions.
4. Account Management and Data Integrity
4.1 Security and Credential Sharing
- Individual Responsibility: Each registered Company must appoint a single representative responsible for managing their AIDA CCI account.
- Prohibition of Sharing: Access credentials (username and password) are strictly personal and non-transferable. Sharing credentials amongst multiple employees of the same company or with third parties is strictly prohibited.
- Account Security: The user is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their passwords and securely logging out after use.
4.2 Data Synchronisation and Updating
- Obligation of Truthfulness: Any user commits to providing true, complete, and updated information (including VAT numbers, addresses, emails, CVs, etc.).
- Disclaimer of Liability: AIDA CCI assumes no legal, financial, or operational responsibility for delays, service failures, or missed opportunities (recruitment/training) resulting from the user inputting incorrect, false, or outdated data.
5. Rules of Use and Acceptable Conduct
5.1 Permission to Use
The AIDA CCI ecosystem is provided for informative, institutional, educational, and legitimate professional purposes. The user commits to using the website in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner, respecting the rights of AIDA CCI and third parties.
5.2 Unacceptable Use and Restrictions (Prohibitions)
It is strictly prohibited to:
- Modify, copy, distribute, or reproduce any website content for commercial purposes without prior express authorisation.
- Security Breach: Attempt to bypass, disable, or compromise AIDA CCI’s security mechanisms, authentication, or payment systems (WooCommerce).
- Malicious Software: Upload, distribute, or share files containing viruses, malware, ransomware, or destructive code (e.g., when submitting CVs or creating modules).
- Unauthorised Automated Use: Use software, bots, scrapers, or other automated means to copy, extract, or monitor content (CVs, vacancies, company data).
- Falsehood and Fraud: Publish fake/discriminatory job vacancies, create fictitious profiles, or impersonate third parties.
- Inappropriate Communications: Use Moodle forums, messaging platforms, or Microsoft Teams rooms to send spam, unauthorised advertising, or illegal, offensive, defamatory, or harmful content.
6. Third-Party Tools and Intellectual Property
6.1 External Platforms (Microsoft and Google)
By using Microsoft Pub Hub and Google Publisher Center, the user agrees to fully comply with the terms of service of these platforms, exempting AIDA CCI from any liability for failures. The user grants AIDA CCI the right to use content published on these platforms as necessary for its dissemination and optimisation.
6.2 Copyright
All platform content (texts, images, videos, graphics, and Moodle educational materials) is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Copying, reproducing, or distributing without express consent is strictly prohibited.
Certain logos and images may belong to external entities, partner projects, or programmes, being used with proper authorisation and referencing, and are not the exclusive property of AIDA CCI.
7. Monitoring, Auditing, and Consequences
In compliance with applicable legislation (including the Cybercrime Law and GDPR), AIDA CCI reserves the right to:
- Monitor Systems: The IT team may conduct periodic audits, monitor access, and analyse logs to ensure integrity and detect fraud attempts.
- Content Removal: Remove at any time, and without prior notice, vacancies, comments, or documents that violate this policy.
Consequences for Non-Compliance: Violation of this AUP may result in:
- Immediate suspension and preventative blocking of the user/company account.
- Permanent cancellation of access to all platforms.
- Termination of ongoing digital service provision, without the right to a refund.
- Reporting to competent judicial authorities (Judiciary Police, CNPD) and advancing with legal proceedings for civil/criminal damage repair.
8. Liability, Limitations, and External Links
AIDA CCI makes every effort to ensure the accuracy and updating of information, but cannot guarantee its complete precision and timeliness at all times. The institution shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the website, except as expressly provided by law.
The platforms may contain hyperlinks to external websites. AIDA CCI is not responsible for the legality, reliability, quality, or security of the content provided by these websites.

AIDA CCI promotes strategic initiatives to boost business development, including:
- Prospecting Visits and International Events: Participation in global events, such as the Electronic Components and Technology Conference (ECTC), promoting the Microelectronics Agenda and establishing global partnerships.
- Training and Courses: Provides training programmes in digital marketing, innovation, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and many other themes.
- Business Support Services: Offers technical consultancy, legal support, and assistance in managing EU-funded projects, maximising access to community funds.
10. Privacy Policy

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
The terms of this AUP are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any dispute or litigation arising from its interpretation or application shall be resolved in the competent courts of the District of Aveiro.
12. Acceptance, Amendments, and Contacts
AIDA CCI reserves the right to modify or update this Policy at any time. Amendments shall come into effect immediately upon their publication on the website. By using our platforms, the user confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted this AUP. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the platforms.
