Session on ESG Criteria
The integration of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria into corporate strategy is urgent and essential today.
In addition to responding to a growing customer demand, these criteria are also crucial for obtaining financing and credit, as well as an opportunity for SMEs to strengthen their relationship with stakeholders, promote the sustainable use of natural resources, reduce corporate risks, and add value to their brands, thereby increasing their competitiveness. In this context, these concerns are no longer trends and have become strategic purposes; otherwise, they risk compromising business assets and investments.
Aware of this need, AIDA CCI, under the Aveiro 5.0 Export project, will hold a session on ESG criteria on May 7, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, in its auditorium.
The event will feature as speakers Pedro Fonseca Santos, an expert in European financing, ESG, and corporate decarbonization and energy transition strategies, and Pedro Cilínio, Partner at Craftgest Consulting and former Secretary of State for the Economy.

Susana Carvalho is the Head of Sustainability and Climate Transition at Bondalti. With over 20 years of professional experience, her career spans critical sectors including industry, consulting, technology, and transportation. She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon) and an Advanced Studies Diploma in Sustainable Energy Systems from the MIT Portugal program.Having worked with leading organizations such as Accenture, Secil, and Metropolitano de Lisboa, she brings a cross-sector perspective to transformation challenges, combining structured thinking and pragmatism to drive influence in complex environments.
4:00 PM – 4:30 PM | Support for Industry, with Pedro Cilínio, Partner at Craftgest Consulting, former Secretary of State for the Economy
Pedro Cilínio is currently a Partner at Craftgest Consulting, having previously served as Secretary of State for the Economy in the XXIII Constitutional Government. He has over 25 years of consolidated experience in management roles at IAPMEI and AICEP (formerly ICEP), focusing on the design, implementation, and management of incentive systems funded by national and European funds to support R&D, Innovation, SME Qualification, Internationalization, and Decarbonization projects. He is a guest lecturer at Porto Business School, where he teaches the Sustainable Finance & Investment for Impact module in the Executive Master in Sustainability Management.
He was a member of the Technical Committee of Incentive Systems for Companies, developed digital transformation projects for incentive management (SIGI and SI-IA), participated in drafting the National Strategy for Smart Specialization (ENEI 2020), and was a national expert in the Digital Europe Program Committee at the European Commission. He was a member of the corporate bodies of several entities, notably InovCapital SCR, CEDINTEC, and the Cork Technological Center. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management (IST), a Master’s in Industrial Management (FCT-UNL), an Executive MBA (INDEG-ISCTE), and a Master’s in Business Administration (ISCTE-IUL).
