Horse Aveiro Open Day: Driving Industrial Competitiveness

Under the scope of the Aveiro 5.0 Export project, AIDA CCI is pleased to announce the first Horse Aveiro Open Day. This strategic event will take place on April 21st, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, at the HORSE AVEIRO facilities. As a leading player in the industrial sector, this plant is internationally recognized for its technological prowess, innovation, and seamless integration into global value chains.

The primary goal of this Open Day is to foster the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and best practices within the Aveiro District business community. This initiative also promotes cooperation and partnership among large corporations, driving the sustainable growth of local SMEs and start-ups. By bridging these gaps, we aim to build a more resilient ecosystem prepared for global industrial challenges.

Industry 4.0, Robotics, and Digital Transformation

The session will focus on developing synergies related to Industry 4.0 best practices. Key topics include collaborative robotics and the integration of digital tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the workplace. These elements are essential for modernizing production processes, with a particular focus on innovation through software-based matrix assembly lines.

In addition to the technological focus, the program will cover the requirements for joining global supply chains. Participants will discuss internationalization strategies and the vital importance of meeting ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria, which are now critical factors for any organization aiming to be a top-tier supplier in export markets.

The visit provides a unique opportunity to witness the global market approach of Horse Powertrain. This independent company leads propulsion system technology, drawing on 125 years of heritage from Renault and Geely. With 17 factories across 3 continents, Horse Aveiro showcases how geographical advantages and industrial convergence drive economic development.

Program Schedule and Registration

Participation is limited to 15 companies. To ensure maximum efficiency, registration is restricted to one representative per company and is subject to a pre-selection process.

• 02:00 PM: Reception of pre-selected companies.
• 02:15 PM: Welcome address (HORSE and AIDA CCI) and HORSE Presentation.
• 02:30 PM: Presentation of participating companies.
• 03:30 PM: Q&A session.
• 03:45 PM: Technical Factory Tour.
• 05:00 PM: End of session.
