The transition to more sustainable and efficient industrial models is redefining the foundations of competitiveness in the manufacturing sector. The integration of artificial intelligence and circular economy processes has become not just an environmental imperative, but a strategic requirement for organisations intending to thrive in Industry 5.0. The current challenge lies in adopting new technologies and resource recovery strategies that optimise product life cycle management, thereby reducing waste and boosting the profitability of factory operations.

To address this technological paradigm, AIDA CCI is hosting a dedicated session on 28 May 2026, focusing on innovation in industrial remanufacturing. This technical and executive event brings together top-tier experts, researchers from the University of Coimbra, and representatives from LoopOS. The initiative aligns with the objectives of the REMAIN project, co-funded by the Interreg Sudoe programme through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), reinforcing institutional support for the ecological transition within the Iberian and Southwestern European space.

The adoption of emerging technologies allows traditional industries to reinvent their processes for inspection, diagnostics, and material recovery.
