AIDA CCI informs the business community linked to the blue economy about the publication of Notice MAR2030-2026-07. This call, part of the MAR 2030 programme, aims to allocate financial compensation for the temporary cessation of fishing activities.

The core objective of this measure is to mitigate income losses suffered by shipowners and fishermen resulting from the inability to operate due to natural disasters, formally recognized by the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

Support Details and Budget

This notice has an indicative budget allocation of € 2,450,000. The support is exclusively intended for vessels whose reference ports are located in Mainland Portugal.

Financial compensation is awarded as a non-reimbursable grant, calculated based on the forced stoppage days and the vessel’s characteristics, as stipulated in the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) legislation.

Beneficiaries

Fishing vessel owners who meet the eligibility criteria defined in the notice, namely providing proof of activity stoppage during the periods affected by the recognized severe weather events, are eligible to apply.
