YEP 5.0 - Young Entrepreneurship Program

Project Objectives

The project YEP 5.0 – Young Entrepreneurship Program, led by AIDA CCI, aims primarily to foster an entrepreneurial culture among young people, encouraging the creation of new businesses that provide innovative responses to social and societal challenges. The project also seeks to increase the survival rate of startups and enhance their sustainability, contributing to a stronger ecosystem for new ventures.

The implementation of YEP 5.0 includes a range of structured initiatives designed to ensure the programme’s success. Key actions include training and support for entrepreneurship through mentoring programmes and startup assistance. The project aims to boost the creation of new businesses by providing specialised guidance and promoting the incubation and acceleration of innovative ideas.

YEP 5.0 also promotes technical visits to companies and acceleration and incubation infrastructures, facilitating the exchange of experiences and knowledge between young entrepreneurs and industry professionals. One of the programme’s most inspiring initiatives is the visit to the innovation ecosystem of Silicon Valley, giving participants the opportunity to engage with one of the world’s leading innovation hubs.

The expected outcomes include the creation of at least 12 new companies within six months after the project’s completion, specifically in knowledge- and technology-intensive sectors. In addition, the project aims to empower 75% of the participating youth, from both basic and higher education, enhancing their confidence and readiness to start their own businesses.

Supported by the European Social Fund and with a total eligible cost of €713,096.59, YEP 5.0 is strongly committed to driving innovation and entrepreneurship, fostering a dynamic and sustainable business environment for young people in the Central and Northern regions of Portugal.
