Aveiro Strengthens Technological Qualification with the Inauguration of Two Specialized Technological Centers
AIDA CCI was present at the joint inauguration of the IT Specialized Technological Center at the José Estêvão School Cluster and the Industrial Specialized Technological Center at EFTA – Professional Training School in Tourism of Aveiro. This initiative reinforces the commitment to qualifying human resources and modernizing the training offer in the Aveiro region.
The ceremony was presided over by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation, Professor Fernando Alexandre. This event is part of the national strategy to create Specialized Technological Centers (CTEs), which aims to bridge the gap between vocational education and the real needs of the business sector, promoting innovation, competitiveness, and employability.
Investment in Industrial and Digital Modernization
The new centers represent a significant investment in modern infrastructure and advanced learning environments. These spaces are designed to align with current demands from the industry and information technology sectors, with the goal of:
- Equipping young people with specialized technical skills;
- Responding to the challenges of digital transformation;
- Supporting the region’s industrial modernization.
Inauguration Program
The event included visits to both training facilities, following this schedule:
- 10:00 AM: Inauguration of the IT CTE (José Estêvão School Cluster);
- 11:00 AM: Inauguration of the Industrial CTE (EFTA);
- 11:05 AM: Official visit to the facilities;
- 11:45 AM: Unveiling of the commemorative plaque and institutional speeches.
