EEN Portugal Strengthens Presence in the Aerospace and Defence Sector in Turin

EEN Portugal meets with Aerospace & Defence Sector Group, the gathering took place within the framework of ADM – Aerospace & Defence Meetings Torino, recognized as one of the main European meeting points dedicated to the aeronautics, space, and defence sectors.

This strategic mission aims to bring national companies closer to European dynamics, facilitating access to privileged information and international partners.

High-Level Institutional Representation

For three days, the Portuguese delegation was actively involved in strategic sessions and networking activities. The committee consisted of:

Nilda Parreira (AIDA CCI – Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the District of Aveiro);
Jorge Manuel Duque (IAPMEI – Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation);
Miguel Gomes (IAPMEI – Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation).

Strategic Dialogue with the European Union

Participation included meetings with European clusters and companies, as well as fundamental debates with entities from the European Commission, namely DG GROW, EISMEA, and DG DEFIS. The topics addressed focused on:

Industrial Policies for sector support;
Defence Programs and funding opportunities;
Definition of future priorities for the aerospace industry.

This participation reinforces the commitment of EEN-Portugal to supporting national SMEs. The objective is twofold: to ensure that the Portuguese perspective is represented in European forums and to actively promote opportunities for cooperation and growth in the aerospace and defence sectors.
