Interactive Dashboard on International Trade in Goods
The Directorate-General for Economic Activities (DGAE) has launched a new interactive dashboard on international trade in goods, enhancing accessibility and transparency of Portugal’s economic data.
This new digital tool allows real-time monitoring of Portugal’s trade in goods with the rest of the world, organised by year, geographic region, and economic activity, based on the Classification of Economic Activities – CAE (Rev. 3), down to division level. The dashboard is designed to provide an intuitive and dynamic experience, with visual filters and interactive maps for easier data access.
Strategic tool for economic analysis
With this initiative, DGAE fulfills its mission to provide updated trade statistics essential for strategic planning by exporting companies, investors, business associations, and public institutions. This interactive platform is a valuable asset for business internationalisation, helping identify trade patterns, sectoral trends, and opportunities in emerging markets.
By enabling analysis by activity sector, users can better understand the evolution of trade by product and by country of destination or origin, supporting informed decision-making and boosting the competitiveness of Portuguese industry.
Practical use and open access
Access to the interactive dashboard is free and open to all users. With just a few clicks, it is possible to generate comparative graphs, dynamic maps, and exportable data in various formats, reinforcing the State’s commitment to economic transparency and the digitalisation of public services.
