APE – Aveiro PME Empreende
The APE – Aveiro PME Empreende is a strategic project led by AIDA CCI, aimed at boosting entrepreneurship and innovation within the business fabric of the Aveiro Region. This project is part of the Regional Operational Programme of the Centre, under the intervention category “Qualified and Creative Entrepreneurship“, and was carried out until March 2018 with support from the ERDF.
The project aims to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem that encourages the emergence of new companies and strategic business units, while also helping existing companies adapt to the real needs of the region. This ecosystem seeks to generate new jobs and increase the region’s competitiveness, equipping entrepreneurs with modern tools and innovative strategies.
Main Activities:
- Specialised consultancy to support companies and entrepreneurs in developing business ideas, whether for new ventures or for restructuring existing business models.
- Implementation of the LEAN STARTUP methodology, which helps optimise business creation processes and accelerate the viability of new ideas.
- Access to a Business Mentors Network, offering technical and entrepreneurial guidance.
- Promotion of Entrepreneurship Clubs and Idea Competitions, fostering a sustainable and innovative entrepreneurial culture.
Among the resources available to project participants are publications such as the Entrepreneur Empowerment Guide and the Lean Startup Methodology Guide, which provide practical tools for the creation and growth of startups.
Impact and Results:
The APE – Aveiro PME Empreende had a significant impact on the development of the regional innovation ecosystem, strengthening entrepreneurship and creating opportunities for new businesses to emerge. The project was key in empowering startups and established companies, offering support from the early stages through to their expansion, always focused on innovation and sustainability.
The project had a total investment of €247,514.75, of which €210,387.38 was funded by the ERDF, and its objective was to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs, preparing them for the challenges of the global market.
