AIDA CCI promotes the Aveiro2World project, supported by CENTRO 2030, Portugal 2030, and the European Union. The project runs until December 2026.
About the Aveiro2World Project
The Aveiro2World Project aims to support the internationalisation of companies in the Aveiro Region (NUT III), promoting their notoriety and competitiveness in international markets.
Multisectoral in nature, the project focuses on promoting the HABITAT and ICT (TICE) clusters, aiming to affirm the Aveiro Region as a technologically advanced economic hub. The goal is to provide companies with high export capacity and facilitate their integration into global value-added chains, specifically in the Germany, Spain, France, USA, and Japan markets.
Strategic Objectives:
- Strengthen the image and attractiveness of the Aveiro region;
- Promote the internationalisation of the ICT and HABITAT ecosystem in strategic markets (Spain, France, Germany, USA, and Japan);
- Invest in the integrated international promotion of the Region’s brands of excellence, products, goods, and services;
- Strengthen the economy of the Aveiro Region by attracting high value-added investments;
- Establish a collective strategy and a collaborative structure for the internationalisation of the region’s business fabric;
- Boost capacity building and knowledge transfer for all SMEs regarding internationalisation;
- Identify opportunities and challenges in accessing markets and establish partnerships with counterparts in target markets.
Activities and Actions
To promote the Central Region, particularly the Aveiro Region, as an innovative industrial hub, the following activities will be carried out:
- Attractiveness Promotion Centre: Launch of the “Aveiro Region Brand Management Strategy” platform;
- Prospecting: Missions to target markets (France, Spain, Germany, and USA);
- Intelligence: Preparation and presentation of Market Studies for the HABITAT and ICT clusters;
- Capacity Building: Workshops to disseminate know-how and best practices in internationalisation;
- Reverse Missions and Networking: Realisation of 4 Reverse Missions (buyers from France/Spain for Habitat; USA/Germany for ICT) and 4 Open Days at reference companies;
- Fairs: Participation in International Trade Fairs in Japan, France, and Germany;
- Closing: Results presentation workshop.
