The project “Decarbonisation Roadmap for the Electromechanical Sector” is an initiative led by the ANEME – National Association of Metallurgical and Electromechanical Companies in consortium with the AIDA CCI – Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Aveiro District. The aim is to promote the decarbonisation and digital transformation of companies in the electromechanical sector. This project is funded by the RRP – Recovery and Resilience Plan and the Next Generation EU European Funds.
Launched on July 1, 2022, and scheduled to conclude on december 31, 2025, the Roadmap involves a total investment of €387,600.00, fully financed by public and European funds. AIDA CCI, as the beneficiary entity, is responsible for managing the investment and promoting the implementation of best environmental and technological practices.
The Decarbonisation Roadmap aims to identify and develop innovative and effective technological solutions tailored to the sector’s specificities. By integrating concepts such as the ecological transition and digital transformation, the project seeks to ensure that the targets of the Carbon Neutrality Roadmap 2050 and the PNEC (National Energy and Climate Plan) are met efficiently. Planned actions include workshops and training sessions for entrepreneurs and technical staff, equipping them to adopt new technologies and carbon management processes.
In addition, the project foresees the creation of a Digital Toolkit, a tool to assist companies in making strategic decisions and adopting best decarbonisation practices. This toolkit will be developed based on a sectoral diagnosis that identifies national and international best practices, supporting companies in their transition towards carbon neutrality.
