AIDA CCI Invites Companies to Participate in the Public Consultation on the Circular Economy Act
AIDA CCI, through its Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), invites companies to participate in a crucial public consultation launched by the European Commission on the future Circular Economy Act. This legislative initiative aims to strengthen the EU’s economic security and competitiveness, while promoting more sustainable production, circular business models, and the decarbonization of the industry. Your feedback is essential to shape the future regulatory framework.
Objectives of the Future Circular Economy Act
The European Commission intends to propose ambitious legislation that responds to current environmental and economic challenges. The future Circular Economy Act will have the following main objectives:
- To strengthen the EU’s competitiveness and economic security by reducing dependence on virgin raw materials and external suppliers.
- To promote sustainable production and consumption by encouraging business models based on the durability, reparability, and reuse of products.
- To facilitate the free movement of “circular” products, secondary raw materials, and waste within the single market, eliminating unjustified barriers.
- To increase the supply of high-quality recycled materials and stimulate demand for these materials in the European industry.
Why is Your Participation Important?
This public consultation represents a unique opportunity for companies to directly influence legislation that will impact their future operations. By participating, your company can contribute a practical perspective on the challenges and opportunities of the transition to a circular economy, ensuring that the future law is effective, pragmatic, and promotes innovation.
The feedback collected will help the Commission to develop and refine this initiative, ensuring that the new rules genuinely support the business community, particularly SMEs, in their green and digital transition.
How to Participate in the Consultation
Companies and other interested parties are invited to submit their contributions through the European Commission’s official portal.
- Participation deadline: November 6, 2025
AIDA CCI, through the Enterprise Europe Network, strongly encourages the participation of all companies in the region. Your voice is essential to building a more competitive and sustainable Europe.
