Survey on the Impact of New US Customs Tariffs
AIDA CCI is launching a survey on the new US tariffs, a crucial measure to assess the direct and indirect effects of the recent imposition of increased customs tariffs by the United States of America (USA) on the European Union (EU). These changes in North American trade policies represent a new challenge for Portuguese exporting companies, especially in the automotive, chemical, metalworking, machinery, and textile sectors.
Under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act, the US is now applying tariffs of up to 25% on automobiles and components. The tariffs on steel and aluminum remain at 25%. The new policy also includes a Reciprocal Tariff of 10% on various products.

Your response is vital. With this survey, we aim to gather concrete and updated information to support a strong institutional position with the Government and the European Union, in order to define effective support measures.
