DIGIQUAL – Qualification for the Digital Economy in I4.0

The project DIGIQUAL – Qualification for the Digital Economy in I4.0, developed by AIDA CCI, aims to increase the efficiency and productivity of SMEs through the dematerialisation of their management and business processes. By using Cloud-Based technologies in a SaaS system, the project seeks to implement solutions aligned with the principles of Industry 4.0, enabling companies to enhance their competitiveness and adaptability.

With a total eligible cost of €454,941.17 and ERDF funding of €251,354.99, the project focused on the North and Centre regions of Portugal and ran from January 2019 to June 2022.

Project Objectives:

• Dematerialisation of management and business processes: Implement and review Management Systems supported by Cloud technologies to promote agility and collaborative work.
• Process optimisation: Introduce innovative methodologies and ensure process reengineering to achieve more efficient management adapted to the digital economy.
• Independent validation: Certification audits by independent entities to ensure the quality and efficiency of the implemented processes.
• Integration into Industry 4.0: Equip companies with technological processes that allow for remote management, facilitating assertive decision-making and improving global competitiveness.

The DIGIQUAL project strengthened the capacity of SMEs to integrate into the digital economy, increasing their operational efficiency and facilitating access to advanced information technology tools such as SaaS solutions. In addition, Best Practice Guides were produced in areas such as Quality Management, Occupational Safety, and Information Security, along with reports documenting the outcomes and benefits for the business sector.
