Consultation on the Geo-blocking Regulation: Your Opinion Matters
As part of the activities of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), represented in the Aveiro region by AIDA CCI, we invite companies to share their experience in the European Commission‘s consultation on the Geo-blocking Regulation.
Adopted in 2018, this regulation aims to prevent unjustified discrimination based on nationality or place of establishment, ensuring that companies can purchase goods and services from suppliers in other Member States under the same conditions as local buyers (the “shop like a local” principle).
Why is Your Participation Important?
The European Commission is currently evaluating the impact and effectiveness of this regulation. Your direct contribution allows you to:
- Influence Future Legislation: Your perspective will help create clearer and more effective rules for the Digital Single Market.
- Identify Persistent Obstacles: Help highlight the practical difficulties your company still faces when trying to buy goods or services cross-border.
- Strengthen the Single Market: Contribute to a fairer and more competitive business environment for all European SMEs.
How to Participate
Your collaboration is essential. Participate by filling out an online questionnaire, which aims to assess awareness of the regulation and its impact on cross-border activities.
🗓️ We request that responses be submitted by January 19, 2026.
